Sustainable Gifting: Luxe PJs from IDentity Lingerie

Warning: no food contained in this post! Haha. Now you’ve had due warning – read on to discover an exciting new sustainable and ethical UK-based lingerie and nightwear company called IDentity Lingerie.

I am a big fan of comfort when the nights draw in. Candles on, fire glowing, blankets, hot chocolate…and comfy PJs are obviously a must.

IDentity Lingerie: my new favourite ethical PJs

Lovely Lincolnshire-based family company IDentity Lingerie got in touch to see if I might write an honest review about their products – and I was only too happy to oblige, as they support the sustainable, ethical ethos that is my priority both through my cooking and which I try to make a priority through my life choices. Clothes are obviously a big one here – have you heard about how Victoria Secret hasn’t been paying the workers in their Thai factories? We do try to buy second hand at home, or from a transparently ethical seller – but it’s not always totally easy, is it.

I was really happy, then, to hear that IDentity Lingerie has had their high-quality lingerie and nightwear handmade in Europe, ethically, since the brand began in 2017. They’re also environmentally friendly -they only make items when they’re ordered, so there isn’t plenty of waste product come the end of a season.

Thesr PJs are also beautifully made, comfortable, and addictive (I’ve just put in another order – this time for a couple of silk nighties which will be perfect as plain silk dresses too!)

I chose the Paisley long satin pyjamas from their PJ page and I’m so happy with my choice. Festive without being exclusively for Christmas, they’re so warm, silky, and comfortable. The length is perfect for me – worn on the waist they hit full length for me (and I’m about 5″2 / 5″3). Worn on my hips they gather lower, which is comfy too, and means they will also suit a taller figure. They also sent me the black supportive bralette and matching pants, which are a different take on bras. Supportive yet without underwiring, I really think these would support a larger bust really well (not really a problem I suffer from! But I felt immovable in this set; this isn’t a set that’ll only suit lounging around at home, this is proper everyday underwear).
